ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed gratitude towards the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement’s volunteers, staff, and partners, particularly the Pakistan Red Crescent Society, for their dedication to humanitarian service. His message, delivered on World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, highlighted the Movement’s contributions in strengthening health systems and reaching vulnerable populations.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, President Zardari praised the Red Crescent Movement as an essential partner in supporting public health initiatives across Pakistan. These initiatives include disaster preparedness, response efforts, community-based healthcare, maternal and child health services, and health awareness campaigns. The Red Crescent’s efforts are seen as complementing the national agenda of improving health outcomes, especially in underserved and remote areas.
