PIMA Peshawar Initiates Radiology Workshop Series at Kuwait Teaching Hospital

Peshawar: The Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) Peshawar branch successfully launched the first in a series of Radiology Workshops at Kuwait Teaching Hospital on June 8, 2024. Aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of medical professionals in radiology, The workshops are a collaborative effort with Peshawar Medical College.

According to Pakistan Islamic Medical Association, The opening session featured a comprehensive introduction by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tayyab, Clinical Director of Peshawar Medical College and Incharge of CME PIMA Pakistan. Dr. Tayyab outlined the objectives of the workshop series, which intend to provide ongoing professional development in various specialized areas of radiology.

The workshop was spearheaded by Prof. Dr. Abdul Majid, a renowned interventional radiologist and Head of Radiology at PMC. He conducted a two-hour interactive session focusing on the fundamentals of radiology. The upcoming session is scheduled to delve into the radiology of the gastrointestinal system, targeting general surgeons and gastroenterologists specifically.

These workshops represent a significant step towards advancing medical education and practice in the region by equipping professionals with the necessary expertise to improve patient care in specialized fields of medicine.
