PCB Responds to Audit Observations on Allowances Paid to Former Management Members

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially addressed findings from the annual audit conducted by the Auditor General of Pakistan concerning payments made to former Management Committee Chair, Mr Najam Sethi, and three committee members. The board’s response comes amid scrutiny over the allowances allocated to these key figures.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the allowances under question were distributed to Mr. Najam Sethi, Mr. Aizad Sayed, Mr. Haroon Rashid, and Mr. Shakil Sheikh, who served on the Management Committee without receiving salaries. The PCB argues that these payments were in line with decisions made by the government-appointed Management Committee of 11 members and are compliant with the existing PCB bylaws.

The cricket board has submitted extensive documentation and records of the meetings that justify these allowances. With this evidence, the PCB anticipates that the audit paragraphs concerning these payments will be dismissed from the final audit report.
