PCB Chairman Reviews National Team Strategy with Coaching Staff

Lahore: In a crucial strategy session today, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met with the coaching staff of the Pakistan men’s cricket team to discuss enhancements in team performance across all formats of the game. The meeting included top coaches and aimed at refining the team’s batting, bowling, and fielding tactics.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the session brought together white-ball head coach Gary Kirsten, red-ball head coach Jason Gillespie, and assistant coach Azhar Mahmood. The discussions focused on developing comprehensive plans to improve various aspects of the team’s game. A key agreement from the meeting was that player selection would be strictly tied to fitness standards.

Chairman Naqvi highlighted the talent within the team and stressed the importance of finding the right combinations to maximize performance. He expressed strong confidence in the coaching staff’s abilities and reiterated the board’s full support for player development initiatives. The strategies proposed by the coaches were unanimously approved, with PCB Director International, Usman Wahla, also providing insights during the discussions.
