Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board awarded a PKR 20 million development fund cheque to the University of Central Punjab during the final of the Pakistan-Sri Lanka ODI Tri-Series at Gaddafi Stadium. This award recognized UCP's victory in the President's Trophy Grade-II Silver Tournament and its continued success in securing 15 consecutive HEC Overall General Trophy titles.

According to University of Central Punjab, the ceremony was attended by Chairman Punjab Group Mian Amer Mahmood, PCB Chairman and Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi, and Chairman Higher Education Commission Dr. Niaz Ahmed Akhtar. Senior PCB officials and other guests were also present to witness the recognition of UCP's achievements in sports.
