Karachi: Vice Chairman of the Pasban Democratic Party, Khalil Ahmad Thand, has vehemently criticized the government’s recent hikes in petroleum products and electricity rates, labeling these increases as a severe injustice to the citizens. Thand argues that the continuous price rises and the overarching inflationary trend are indicative of governmental failure.
According to Pasban Democratic Party, Thand expressed that government policies are adversely affecting the populace, with the administration appearing to extract as much as possible from the citizens. He condemned the government’s approach, suggesting that if current trends continue, the vast majority of the population will fall below the poverty line in the coming years. Thand also called for the removal of privileges from the elite classes to alleviate the financial burden on the general public. Additionally, he urged the government to halt fiscal wastage and truly implement measures that would offer relief to the people, in contrast to merely following IMF directives superficially.
