Rawalkot: A delegation of professors from several prominent Pakistani universities visited the Department of Physics at the University of Poonch Rawalakot, praising its facilities and the conducive research and teaching environment. The visit included a seminar on innovative energy acquisition methods and a tour of the university’s new infrastructure projects.
According to University of Poonch Rawalakot, the delegation comprised academics such as Dr. Adnan Ali from Government College University Faisalabad, Dr. Ataullah Shah from the National Institute of Laser and Apprentices (NILOP) Islamabad, and Mian Kashif Safin from Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, among others. They attended a seminar titled “Materials and Energy Acquisition,” where the university’s approach to research methodology was a focal point.
Dr. Akif Safin, Chairman of the Physics Department, provided a detailed briefing on the department’s initiatives and infrastructure, which includes newly constructed and under-construction facilities that are part of a broader expansion plan. Registrar Abdul Rauf Khan highlighted the ongoing construction projects, noting that phase one is nearing completion with phase two progressing rapidly. This expansion includes classroom facilities and new academic programs that enhance the university’s educational offerings.
The visiting professors commended the university for its high standards in infrastructure and student facilities, reflecting the attributes of a top-tier educational institution. They also expressed a willingness to support Jamia Poonch students by providing access to their research facilities and other resources.
