Pakistani Squash Players Excel at Asian Junior Championships

Seoul: Pakistani squash players demonstrated strong performances at the 32nd Asian Junior Individual Squash Championships in South Korea, advancing to the semifinals in several categories.

In the Boys Under-19 category, Abdullah Nawaz, ranked third/fourth, secured a decisive victory over Wong W of Hong Kong with scores of 11-4, 11-6, 11-6. This win placed Nawaz in the semifinal round.

The Boys Under-15 category saw top-seeded Nauman Khan defeat India’s Harshal R in straight sets, 11-6, 11-5, 11-7. Joining him in the semifinals is Ahmad Rayyan Khan, who triumphed over Malaysia’s Armann M with a scoreline of 11-7, 11-3, 11-3.

Muhammad Sohail Adnan, the top seed in Boys Under-13, continued the winning streak against India’s Abhyuday A, securing a 11-2, 11-8, 11-2 victory to reach the semifinals.

In the Girls Under-13 category, Mahnoor Ali, ranked third/fourth, defeated India’s Anika K with scores of 11-6, 11-2, 11-3. However, the Girls Under-15 saw the exit of Sehrish Ali, who lost to Malaysia’s Siti S A S with a score of 11-4, 11-7, 11-2.

The Pakistani contingent remains hopeful for continued success in the upcoming semifinal matches, aiming to bring more accolades to their country.
