Pakistan U19 Set to Face Scotland U19 in ICC Men’s U19 World Cup Clash


Harare: Pakistan’s U19 cricket team is scheduled to compete against Scotland U19 in their second Group ‘C’ match of the ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup at the Takashinga Sports Club on Monday. The match will commence at 9.30 a.m. local time, following the toss at 9 a.m.



According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the match will be available live on PTV Sports and Geo Super for viewers in Pakistan, with live-streaming options on Myco, Tamasha, ARY ZAP, and Tapmad across the country. Pakistan, who recently clinched the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup in Dubai and a tri-series in Zimbabwe, suffered a setback in their first group match, losing to England by 37 runs. Captain Farhan Yousaf contributed 65 runs, and Ahmed Hussain took three wickets in the encounter.



In their head-to-head record, Pakistan has won all three previous matches against Scotland in ICC U19 World Cup competitions, including their last meeting in 2020, where Pakistan secured victory by seven wickets. Ahead of the upcoming match, the Pakistan squad engaged in a training session at Old Hararians, focusing on fielding drills and net practice under head coach Shahid Anwar.



Bowling coach Rao Iftikhar Anjum expressed the team’s resolve to improve after the initial loss, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a positive mindset and addressing areas for enhancement. The team remains optimistic about their prospects and is eager to bounce back in the tournament.
