Pakistan Squash Team Departs for 20th Asian Games in Japan

Islamabad: The Pakistan National Squash Team has embarked on their journey to Japan to participate in the 20th Asian Games, scheduled to take place in Aichi-Nagoya in 2026. The team will compete in a series of events, with the squash matches set to occur between September 23 and October 2, 2026, as they vie for medals across five major categories.

According to Pakistan Squash Federation, the contingent is led by Air Commodore (R) Amir Nawaz and Head Coach Fahim Gul. The men's team comprises Noor Zaman, Muhammad Ashab Irfan, Nasir Iqbal, and Muhammad Asim Khan, while the women's team includes Sana Bahadur, Mehwish Ali, Sehrish Ali, and Mahnoor Ali. Individual events will feature Noor Zaman, Muhammad Ashab Irfan, Sana Bahadur, and Mahnoor Ali, with mixed doubles teams consisting of Nasir Iqbal and Sehrish Ali, and Muhammad Asim Khan and Mehwish Ali.

In a moment of national pride, Noor Zaman will serve as the flag bearer for Pakistan at the Opening Ceremony on September 19, 2026. The Pakistan Squash Federation expressed their enthusiasm and extended their best wishes to the athletes as they represent the nation on an international stage.
