Lahore: Pakistan Shaheens will return to Darwin for the Top End T20 Series for the third consecutive year, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced today. The tournament, held from August 14 to 24, will see Pakistan Shaheens face Bangladesh ‘A’ in the opening match at TIO Stadium.
This year’s series will feature 11 teams competing in 36 T20 matches across five venues, including DXC Arena and Gardens Oval. Further details are expected to be released by the event organizers soon.
In previous editions, Pakistan Shaheens reached the final in 2023 and played in the first semi-final last year. Sumair Ahmed Syed, PCB’s Chief Operating Officer, expressed satisfaction with the team’s continued participation, emphasizing the tournament’s role in providing exposure to emerging cricketers.
Gavin Dovey, CEO of Northern Territory Cricket, expressed enthusiasm for hosting the PCB and BCB teams, highlighting the event’s role in promoting the Northern Territory as an attractive destination.
