Islamabad: President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, extended his warm congratulations to the Governor-General of Australia, Ms. Sam Mostyn, and to the Australian people on the occasion of Australia’s National Day, celebrated on January 26, 2026.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, President Zardari underscored the strong and constructive relations between Pakistan and Australia, which are based on mutual respect and shared democratic values. He highlighted the ongoing cooperation in various sectors, including trade, education, and parliamentary exchanges, as well as the robust people-to-people connections between the two nations.

President Zardari expressed optimism that further engagement at the leadership level and sustained institutional collaboration would enhance mutual understanding and expand partnerships in key areas such as trade, investment, agriculture, education, climate resilience, and innovation. He affirmed Pakistan's commitment to working closely with Australia to achieve shared objectives for peace, stability, and prosperity on both regional and global fronts.
