Pakistan Challenges India’s Narrative at the UN: Senator Rehman Speaks Out

New York: Senator Sherry Rehman, a prominent member of Pakistan’s diplomatic team at the United Nations, declared in New York that Pakistan is resolute in countering India’s narrative on the global stage. The senator emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to presenting its stance on regional peace, international law, and responsible diplomacy.

“Our delegation, led by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, is committed to meaningful engagement with the international community,” Senator Rehman stated. She stressed that their mission was focused on strategic engagement rather than superficial appearances.

Senator Rehman highlighted Pakistan’s diplomatic agenda, which prioritizes peace, sustainable development, and regional stability. She asserted that Pakistan is projecting its image as a responsible middle power and underscored its respect for international law and its constructive role in South Asia.

Addressing recent claims from India, Senator Rehman rejected what she described as falsehoods and cautioned against using terrorism allegations as a pretext for military action. “India’s fabricated narrative will not be allowed to masquerade as truth,” she said, emphasizing the seriousness of terrorism as a global issue.

The senator reminded the international community of Pakistan’s sacrifices in combating terrorism. “Our nation has faced one of the longest battles against terrorism,” she remarked, referencing the assassination of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto by extremists.

Senator Rehman praised the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who has been tasked with presenting Pakistan’s stance on issues such as water aggression and Kashmir. She commended his response to India’s recent military provocations as clear and effective.

While advocating for dialogue and de-escalation, Senator Rehman made it clear that Pakistan would not remain silent on what she described as Prime Minister Modi’s reckless policies. She concluded by reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to peace and global cooperation, emphasizing its ability to defend itself on both battlefield and diplomatic fronts.
