LAHORE: Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan commended Pakistan’s Armed Forces, stating that the Air Force, Army, and Navy have taught India a historic lesson, bringing pride to the nation on a global stage.
Speaking at a conference attended by prominent educationists and students, Khan highlighted Pakistan’s role as a frontline state in the fight against terrorism. He noted that the country has sacrificed over 90,000 lives and incurred billions of dollars in losses, questioning India’s allegations of terrorism against Pakistan.
Khan criticized India’s actions, including accusations without evidence and the unilateral blockage of Pakistan’s water, describing them as attacks on Pakistani sovereignty. He praised Pakistan’s demonstration of skill and courage, declaring the current era as the proudest of his life, particularly due to the role of technology in the recent Indo-Pak conflict.
Emphasizing the importance of modern knowledge and technology, Khan highlighted the need for legislative regulation of artificial intelligence. He mentioned an agreement with a university to educate assembly members on AI to enhance their legislative capabilities.
The conference, which saw participation from Vice Chancellors of multiple universities and educational leaders, focused on the integration of technology and knowledge as pivotal for Pakistan’s future. Prof Dr. Muhammad Ali praised the military’s strategic use of technology and the leadership’s efforts, while emphasizing unity, science, and technology as crucial for progress.
The event underscored the significance of practical skills and technology for students, with Dr. Rauf-e-Azam commending the conference’s alignment with contemporary needs. Prof Dr. Abdul Qayyum Chaudhry thanked the Vice Chancellor for his support and noted the participation of national and international experts in the three-day conference.
