Lahore: Muneeba Ali will captain Pakistan in the ICC Women's Emerging Nations Trophy 2026, as revealed by the Pakistan Cricket Board's recent announcement of a 14-member squad. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Ajman, United Arab Emirates, from November 12 to 25.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the squad includes Ayesha Zafar as vice-captain, alongside batters Eman Naseer, Eyman Fatima, Sadaf Shamas, Saira Jabeen, and Shawaal Zulfiqar. Gull Feroza, recognized as the best wicketkeeper-batter in the National Women's T20 Tournament, is also part of the team. The bowling lineup will be spearheaded by left-arm spinner Nashra Sundhu, with Momina Riasat, Tuba Hassan, and Umm-e-Hani forming a spin quartet. Tasmia Rubab and Waheeda Akhtar are the primary pace options.
The Pakistani team recently secured a bronze medal at the Asian Games in Japan. The squad retains 12 players from their last outing, with Sadaf and Waheeda making their return. Group A includes Sri Lanka, Ireland, Scotland, Papua New Guinea, and hosts UAE. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stage, culminating in a final on November 25.
The Pakistani squad will gather in Lahore on November 6 for a pre-tournament training camp before departing for the UAE.
