Islam has historically played a role in safeguarding the rights of orphans, with the Quran mentioning them in 22 verses. Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) personal experience as an orphan underscored his teachings on the virtues of caring for them.

Alkhidmat Foundation, a humanitarian organization in Pakistan, actively participates in commemorating World Orphan Day. The foundation organizes special events, including meals, entertainment, and gift distribution, to bring joy to orphaned children.
