Islamabad: The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) has successfully concluded its NUST Internship Programme for International Students (NIPIS-24), which saw participation from 15 interns from countries including Egypt, Ireland, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Türkiye, and the United Kingdom. The month-long program aimed to foster global diversity and cultural exchange while enhancing the professional and academic skills of its participants.
According to National University of Sciences and Technology, the interns underwent comprehensive training across various disciplines such as Engineering and IT, Applied Biosciences, and Social Sciences at NUST. They participated in research projects, industry-specific trainings, and visited major companies like S and P Global, PepsiCo, and Pak Steel Re-rolling Mills, gaining both practical industry insights and exposure to Pakistan’s culture and natural beauty.
The program concluded with a ceremony where Dr. Rizwan Riaz, Pro-Rector Research, Innovation and Commercialisation at NUST, presented certificates and expressed hope that the interns would continue to engage with and represent NUST as ambassadors in their respective countries. The ceremony featured testimonials from the interns, reflecting on the skills acquired and the connections made during their stay.
