Nums Gains International Recognition At Quality Assurance Conference


Islamabad: NUMS, a full member of the Pakistan Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (PNQAHE), sponsored and actively participated in the 5th International Conference of PNQAHE 2025 held at Forman Christian College University, Lahore, from April 14-16, 2025. The conference, themed “Stakeholders Engagement in QA Processes”, drew national and international quality assessment specialists, academics, and policymakers.



NUMS showcased its programs and initiatives at an institutional stall, sponsored the conference with a contribution of Rs. 300,000, and earned the second-place award for a presentation on “The Role of Alumni in Higher Education Quality Assurance” delivered by Air Cdre (Retd) Muhammad Ismail, NUMS’ QA Consultant and PNQAHE Executive Committee Member.



The NUMS stall drew numerous attendees, including delegates from institutions such as the International Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), American Institute of Applied Sciences, Switzerland, HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, Netherlands, Mus Alparslan University, Turkey, University of Bahrain, European Association of Institutions in Higher Education, and Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education, Scotland. Visitors received informational materials about NUMS.



Mr. Ismail’s award-winning presentation further elevated NUMS’ profile. Key conference outcomes included heightened visibility for NUMS, a positive contribution to its yearly progress report and THE Impact Ranking, and the establishment of potential international collaborations with several attendees. NUMS expressed gratitude to its senior management, administrative staff, and public affairs department for their support in ensuring a successful conference presence.
