Islamabad: A delegation from Nigeria's Yobe State Hisbah Commission visited the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) to discuss potential collaboration in Islamic ethics, social welfare, and capacity building.
The delegation was led by Mr. Ibrahim Sulaiman, the Consular Assistant at the Nigeria High Commission and Liaison Officer for the Hisbah Commission. He was accompanied by Mr. Abdulmutakeem, the President of the Nigeria Student Union Pakistan, and Mr. Harees Gurashi from ConsultAfrique.
During their meeting with the President of IIUI, the delegation explored avenues for future cooperation. This includes training programs, research opportunities, and academic exchanges.
Both parties expressed mutual interest in strengthening ties through these initiatives. The visit is part of the preparatory steps for an official Hisbah Commission delegation visit to Pakistan.
The discussions centered around the shared objectives of promoting ethical conduct and social harmony, which are core to the missions of both institutions.
