Netherlands Announce Squad for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026

Amsterdam: The Netherlands have unveiled their 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, with Scott Edwards at the helm. The Dutch team, placed in Group A, will compete against defending champions India, along with Pakistan, Namibia, and the USA in the marquee event.

The squad, announced by the International Cricket Council, comprises seasoned players who have made significant contributions on the international stage. Among those named are Colin Ackermann, Bas de Leede, and Max O'Dowd, who have been pivotal in previous tournaments. The team secured their spot in the World Cup through the Europe Qualifiers, alongside Italy, marking their seventh appearance since their debut in 2009.

Head coach Ryan Cook expressed confidence in the team's preparations, citing their experience in past World Cups and familiarity with the playing conditions in Sri Lanka and India. "Players and staff have been working hard and making many sacrifices to put the team in a great position to succeed in the tournament," Cook remarked. He emphasized the squad's depth and strategic variety, which he believes will be crucial as they aim to progress through the group stages.

The Netherlands will begin their campaign against Pakistan on February 7 in Colombo. As they gear up for the competition, the squad's blend of experience and tactical acumen will be essential in navigating the challenges posed by their formidable group opponents.
