Chengdu: In the ongoing World Games 2025 in Chengdu, China, the squash events saw mixed results for Pakistani athletes on the second day. Nasir Iqbal emerged victorious in the plate event, while Noor Zaman was defeated in the second round.
Noor Zaman faced a challenging match against Miguel Rodriguez, the world number 21, in his second-round encounter. Despite a strong start, Zaman was unable to maintain his lead and eventually lost the match with scores of 2-11, 11-7, 11-9, 11-13, 11-6.
In contrast, Nasir Iqbal delivered a solid performance in the plate event. He secured a straight-sets victory against Austria’s Daniel Lutz, with scores of 11-7, 11-4, 11-8, advancing to the next round of the competition.
