Gaza: Muntada Aid has intensified its humanitarian efforts in Gaza by distributing freshly made bread to 1,500 individuals, while also ensuring access to clean drinking water for over 4,100 people. The organization is providing 500 hot meals daily as part of its ongoing relief operations.
The distribution process, which began in August, faces significant challenges due to the high costs and difficulties in procuring food and raw materials. According to Muntada Aid, a basic meal in Gaza costs over £4, in stark contrast to the cost of feeding Sudanese refugees in Chad, where a nutritious meal is available for under £0.50 per person.
Since October 2023, Muntada Aid has served over 172,000 individuals in Gaza with food, water, and medical aid. The organization continues to appeal for donations to sustain and expand its relief efforts in the region.
Muntada Aid highlights the urgency of the situation in Gaza and the vital need for continued support from donors to meet the growing demands of the population amidst the ongoing crisis.
