Mohsin Naqvi Leads 74th PCB Board of Governors Meeting in Faisalabad


Faisalabad: Pakistan Cricket Board Chair Mohsin Naqvi chaired the 74th meeting of the Board of Governors, discussing several key initiatives aimed at enhancing domestic cricket competitions and infrastructure improvements.



According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the meeting, held at Iqbal Stadium, focused on the Bahria Town Champions One-Day Cup’s launch, involving top national players. The Board praised Mohsin Naqvi’s role in securing partnerships with renowned organizations for the tournament. Proposals were made to integrate the Champions Cup, which also features T20 and four-day events, into the PCB Constitution 2014 to establish it as an annual event, ensuring stability and clarity in Pakistan’s domestic cricket framework.



The Board’s deliberations also covered the enthusiastic local reception to the events, prompting suggestions to take over and upgrade Iqbal Stadium to international standards. Additionally, updates were shared about ongoing infrastructure projects, with Board members expressing full support, anticipating these developments to significantly enhance the stature of both the venue and Pakistan cricket internationally.
