Karachi: In a decisive victory, Mohammad Hussain Cricket Club defeated Nazimabad Gymkhana Blues by 83 runs in the second semi-final of the PCB Regional Inter-Club Cricket Tournament (Karachi Region), advancing to the finals. The match took place yesterday at New Nazimabad Stadium.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohammad Hussain Cricket Club, batting first, posted a formidable total of 226 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 40 overs. Key performances included Khan Shah’s 64 runs, Aqib Rizvi’s 45, and Shahzar Muhammad’s 43. On the bowling side, Qadir Khan and Fawad Khan each took two wickets for Nazimabad Gymkhana Blues.
In response, Nazimabad Gymkhana Blues were bowled out for 143 runs, despite efforts from Zafar Ali, who top-scored with 33 runs. Contributions from Kashif Khan and Naveed Ahmed, who also took two crucial wickets, were not enough to chase down the target set by Mohammad Hussain Cricket Club.
This victory not only propels Mohammad Hussain Cricket Club into the final but also highlights the competitive spirit and skill level within the Karachi region’s club cricket scene.
