Turbat: The University of Turbat recently hosted a visit from Mayor Balakhsher Qazi and Advocate Bahad Jameel Dashti, Deputy Chairman of the District Council Kech. During their visit, they distributed laptops to students under the Prime Minister's Youth Laptop Scheme and inaugurated a European Commission-funded smart classroom, marking significant steps in the institution's technological advancement.
According to University of Turbat's Public Relations Department, the visit highlighted the commitment of local leadership to the university's progress. Both Qazi and Dashti expressed their appreciation for the university's faculty and administrative efforts, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan. They pledged continued support for enhancing higher education and further development of the university.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Hasan conveyed gratitude for the support and visits, emphasizing the importance of equipping students with digital tools to prepare them for contemporary challenges. Engineer Bilal Ur Rehman, the focal person for the PM Laptop Scheme at the university, reported that over 1,400 laptops have been distributed to students, with a similar initiative having occurred last year.
