Lahore to Host PCB Workshop for Umpires and Match Referees

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has scheduled a comprehensive two-day workshop for umpires and match referees, set to begin this Thursday at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The workshop aims to update and train officials on the latest changes in cricket regulations and officiating standards.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the workshop, taking place on August 1 and 2, 2024, will be led by notable ICC Elite Panel umpire Ahsan Raza and ICC International Panel umpire Asif Yaqoob. The event is expected to host 59 participants, including both seasoned and emerging cricket officials.

The primary focus of the workshop is to familiarize attendees with recent amendments in the playing conditions, the code of conduct, and clothing and equipment regulations. It also seeks to enhance the overall competency of umpires and match referees in managing cricket matches as per international standards.
