Karate Championship in Lahore Set to Spotlight Young Talent

Lahore: The Pakistan Karate Federation has announced the 1st All Pakistan Youth Karate Championship 2025, a significant event that aims to showcase and develop young karate talent across the nation. Scheduled for August 9-10, this championship will take place at the Nishtar Park Sports Complex in Lahore, bringing together over 500 participants.

The opening ceremony is set for Saturday, August 9, at 10:00 AM at the Gymnasium Hall, located within the Qaddafi Stadium’s expansive sports complex. This event marks a key opportunity for young athletes in Pakistan to demonstrate their skills and compete in various age categories, ranging from Under-10 to Under-16.

The event also serves a dual purpose as a Talent Hunt Program, designed to identify promising athletes who may go on to represent Pakistan on national and international stages. The initiative underscores the federation’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of karate champions.

The Director General of the Sports Board Punjab, Mr. Muhammad Khizer Afzaal, is expected to attend the opening ceremony, adding to the event’s significance. His presence highlights the importance of sports development and youth engagement in the region.
