Bahawalpur: In a significant move aimed at supporting continuing education, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has announced a 25% reduction in admission fees for its alumni, as stated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar.
According to The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Pakistan, Dr. Shahid Mehmood, Director of Alumni Relations, expressed enthusiasm about the fee reduction during discussions with prospective students at the university’s admission cell. This initiative particularly targets BS 8th semester graduates seeking further education, positioning it as an exceptional opportunity to advance their studies affordably.
Shazia Noureen Khan, social personality and Founder Chairperson of the Pakistan Entrepreneur Empowerment Forum, also present at the announcement, highlighted the university’s stature as a leading institution in the Bahawalpur Division. She praised its comprehensive offerings across various fields, including Arts, Science, Engineering, Health Sciences, and Social Sciences, with professional degree programs in Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing, Veterinary, and Agriculture available across all campuses.
The reduction in fees is part of broader efforts by the university’s administration, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar and Director Academic Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal, to enhance accessibility to quality higher education through initiatives like the one-window admission cell, which simplifies the enrollment process for students and their families.
