Islamia University Hosts Key Meeting on Saraiki Department Expansion

Bahawalpur: A significant meeting was convened at the Abbasia Campus of Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) focusing on the expansion and promotion of the Saraiki Department. The gathering, which included faculty from the IUB Saraiki Department and teachers from government colleges across the Bahawalpur division, aimed to bolster the ongoing admission campaign and discuss future prospects for students in the Saraiki language discipline.

According to The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Pakistan, Dr. Muhammad Mumtaz Khan, Chairman of the Department of Saraiki, highlighted the department’s pivotal role as Pakistan’s premier and most robust Saraiki academic institution. Dr. Khan emphasized the importance of Saraiki language education in fostering job opportunities and preserving cultural heritage. Furthermore, the meeting addressed the introduction of Saraiki subject specialist positions at the school level, promising new career paths for graduates.
