Karachi: The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) recently hosted a detailed workshop titled “Mastering Qualitative Data Analysis with NVivo.” Held on June 29, 2024, The event was led by Dr. Ather Akhlaq, Associate Professor of Health Informatics and Health Management, and aimed to equip researchers and professionals from various disciplines with advanced tools for qualitative analysis.
According to Institute of Business Management, The workshop provided participants with comprehensive training on using NVivo, a leading software tool in qualitative research. The session covered all facets of the software, from navigating the interface to coding and annotating data. Dr. Akhlaq also delved into more complex aspects such as data organization, analysis techniques, visualizations, reporting, and practical tips for leveraging NVivo effectively.
The event was structured in two parts: an introduction to NVivo and its capabilities, followed by a hands-on session focused on data collection and analysis. This format was designed to offer a holistic learning experience, catering to both novices and experienced researchers looking to refine their skills. The workshop underscored IoBM’s commitment to fostering a robust research culture by providing essential training and resources in emerging fields.
