International Delegation Lauds Health Facilities at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital

Lahore: An international delegation, including former President of the Royal College of Physicians, Dr. Sarah Clarke, and other notable medical professionals from the UK, praised the state-of-the-art health facilities at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital during their visit to Lahore. The delegation, accompanied by Vice Chancellor Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, inaugurated a new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with advanced ventilator facilities and attended a training workshop on vaccine-preventable diseases.

Dr. Clarke expressed her admiration for the NICU, noting the advanced medical equipment and the hospital’s commitment to healthcare excellence. Dr. Sebastian Alexander echoed her sentiments, emphasizing the significance of these facilities for the people of Pakistan and commending Prof. Gondal’s leadership.

Prof. Gondal expressed gratitude to the visiting delegation and highlighted the hospital’s dedication to public health, particularly in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, which handles numerous childbirths daily.

The delegation also visited the Lahore College for Women University, where discussions focused on international innovation, professional development, and the expansion of the Business Incubation Centre at Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU).

Vice Chancellor Prof. Uzma Qureshi presented honorary souvenirs to the visiting dignitaries as a token of appreciation. The visit concluded with a dinner meeting attended by the Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education, Khawaja Muhammad Salman Rafique, and other prominent figures in the medical field. Souvenirs were exchanged to commemorate the occasion.
