IIUI President Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi Lauded for Advancing Merit and Innovation at University

Islamabad: At International Islamic University (IIUI), President Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi has been commended for his leadership in steering the institution towards a merit-based approach and significant advancements in research and infrastructure. Over his four-year tenure, Dr. Alotaibi has been pivotal in eliminating nepotism and fostering a culture where academic and administrative decisions are made solely based on merit, contributing to the university’s enhanced global standing.

According to International Islamic University Islamabad, spokesperson Nasir Farid highlighted the successful implementation of strategic initiatives under Dr. Alotaibi’s guidance, which not only pulled the university out of a severe financial crisis but also placed it competitively among national institutions despite broader financial challenges. Key achievements include the establishment of new faculty blocks, laboratories funded by Saudi Arabia, and the inauguration of a state-of-the-art student facilitation center recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

The transformation under Dr. Alotaibi’s leadership has included the adoption of modern educational technologies and online learning platforms, aligning with global educational trends and enhancing the university’s academic offerings.
