KARACHI: IBA Karachi hosted its Orientation Gala 2026, known as OGala'26, at the Main Campus, welcoming newly inducted students alongside their parents. The two-day event, attended by approximately 2,500 individuals, including faculty and staff, featured various activities and opportunities to integrate the new students into the campus community.

According to Center For Information and Communication Technologies, Dr. S Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director of IBA Karachi, extended a welcome to the students and their families, highlighting the significance of this event as the commencement of their academic journey. Dr. Zaidi emphasized the opportunity for students to connect with the IBA community and explore the environment they will inhabit over the next four years.

Ms. Maheen Ghauri, Dean of Student Success & International Engagement, elaborated on the event's purpose, underscoring its role in helping students engage with peers and familiarizing them with campus life. The Orientation Gala featured a range of activities within the IBA Campus Connect Zone, where student societies introduced new members to various clubs and activities. The event also included resources for student support services and concluded the first day with a movie night.

The highlight of the event was a performance by Ustad Farid Ayaz and Abu Muhammad Qawwal Group, providing a memorable cultural experience for attendees. The Orientation Gala aimed to offer a comprehensive introduction to the IBA community, fostering connections and friendships among the new students.
