Lahore: Former Pakistan hockey player Khawaja Junaid engaged in a comprehensive dialogue with the Vice Chancellor of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir TI. The discussions centered on strategies for reviving sports activities at the university, with a particular focus on hockey.
During the meeting, Prof. Munir detailed the university’s ongoing and planned initiatives for sports development. He highlighted efforts to install a synthetic turf and develop a hockey ground meeting international standards, aimed at promoting the sport among students.
Khawaja Junaid commended the university for its sports programs and recognized the potential of the students. He expressed optimism that the emerging talent from UET could represent Pakistan on international stages, thus enhancing the country’s reputation and bringing national pride.
