Peshawar: The Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell at the University of Haripur, Dr. Shah Masaud Khan, participated in the Higher Education Commission’s Regional Progress Review Meeting 2025. The event, held at the Institute of Management Sciences in Peshawar, aimed to evaluate institutional progress and reinforce the quality assurance framework in higher education.
The two-day meeting, organized by the Higher Education Commission’s Quality Assurance Agency, took place on June 26-27, 2025. It gathered Directors of Quality Enhancement Cells, senior faculty, and HEC officials from across the region to discuss quality benchmarks and institutional advancements.
In addition to attending the in-person sessions, the QEC team from the University of Haripur joined the online opening session on June 26, 2025. Dr. Khan’s participation underscores the University’s dedication to aligning with updated HEC policies and quality standards, including the implementation of PSG-2023 and the Graduate Education Policy 2023.
The agenda also covered strategic discussions on the Open and Distance Learning framework, anti-plagiarism measures, faculty appointment criteria, and the Pakistan Qualification Register. These discussions were designed to enhance the quality culture within institutions.
The University of Haripur expressed its appreciation for ongoing collaboration with the HEC and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening internal quality assurance systems to meet national standards.
