HBL PSL 12 Road Map Unveiled: Direct Signings Begin as Player Auction Scheduled for January

Lahore: The HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) has announced the pre-season road map for its 12th edition, marking the start of direct signings across all eight franchises. The player-movement calendar, including the Player Auction set for January 23, 2027, has been finalized. The upcoming season will run from March 18 to May 2, 2027, featuring a total of 44 matches across five to six venues.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the direct signings window opens today and will remain active until November 23, 2026, allowing each franchise to sign one marquee player who did not participate in the previous two seasons. This move aims to strengthen Pakistan's cricket pipeline by aligning the domestic competition calendar with the PSL pre-season cycle. The National T20 Gold and National T20 Silver tournaments will serve as key talent-identification events ahead of the player auction.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the ambition behind the upcoming season, noting that the road map provides certainty to all involved parties, from franchises to commercial partners. PSL CEO Salman Naseer highlighted the league's expansion to more venues, offering fans across Pakistan the chance to experience top-tier T20 cricket. The forthcoming season promises to be a pivotal chapter in the league's history, building upon past successes and expanding its reach.
