Islamabad: Participants in the University of Central Punjab’s “Entrepreneurship: From Idea to Startup Launch” program gained practical experience in developing consumer products like hand wash and dishwashing liquids during a recent workshop.
Prof. Dr. Aziz-ur-Rehman, Director/Chairperson of the Department of Chemistry at GC University Lahore, led the hands-on product development session. He guided attendees through the formulation process, highlighting the differentiation between active and inactive components.
The session emphasized the scientific basis of pH levels, product steadiness, and thickness management. Safety protocols, shelf life, and the function of preservatives were also key topics, ensuring participants could create marketable goods meeting industry benchmarks.
The practical training bridged the divide between academic theory and entrepreneurial application, allowing learners to apply their knowledge in a laboratory environment. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Director of ORIC, presented Dr. Rehman with a token of appreciation for his instruction and dedication to nurturing product development expertise among the attendees.
