Lahore: Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the Founder and Patron-in-Chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has expressed his condolences over the death of Mohammad Sabir Awan, the husband of Noreen Alvi, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Lahore. The passing of Awan has been described as a significant loss for his family and the community.
In a message of sympathy, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri prayed for forgiveness for the deceased and sought strength and patience for the grieving family. He emphasized that the death of Awan is a substantial loss for Noreen Alvi and her family.
Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council, and other leaders, including Secretary-General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and Deputy Secretaries-General Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees and Noor Allah Siddiqui, also expressed their sorrow over the passing. They joined Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri in prayers for Awan’s forgiveness and elevation in the hereafter.
The funeral prayer for Mohammad Sabir Awan was led by Professor Dr. Hussain Mohiuddin Qadri, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, at Jamia Minhaj Town Ship. The ceremony was attended by several officials, workers, and local residents, including Dr. Muhammad Rafiq Najm, Colonel (R) Khalid Javed, and Hafiz Ghulam Fareed, among others.
The community has come together to support the bereaved family, reflecting the deep impact Awan had on those around him.
