Chemistry Students Gain Insight into Herbal Industry Practices

Lahore: Students from the Department of Basic and Applied Chemistry at the University of Central Punjab recently participated in an educational visit to Herbion Pakistan Pvt. Ltd. This visit provided students with a firsthand look at the practical applications of their studies in a real-world industrial setting.

The excursion offered an invaluable opportunity for students to delve into the processes of herbal product development, quality assurance, and large-scale manufacturing. Herbion’s facility, known for its adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), served as an ideal learning environment.

During the tour, students were guided through various units of the company, including research and development, production, quality control, and packaging. They gained insights into the standardization of herbal formulations and the protocols implemented to maintain industrial quality standards.
