Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Pledges Continued Fight Against Terrorism on Karsaz Tragedy Anniversary

KARACHI: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, reaffirmed his commitment to eradicating terrorism from Pakistan, as he and First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari visited the Karsaz Memorial on the 19th anniversary of the tragic event. The visit, marked by the laying of flowers and prayers, was a somber reminder of the devastating attack on October 18, 2007, which remains one of the country's most significant terrorist incidents.

According to a press release issued by Media Cell Bilawal House, the PPP Chairman emphasized that the fight against terrorism was a central mission of his late mother, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. He vowed that the party's struggle would persist until Pakistan is free from the threat of terrorism. Addressing the media, Bhutto Zardari recounted the heroic acts of PPP workers who sacrificed their lives to protect Benazir Bhutto during the attack and highlighted the ongoing challenges the nation faces in combating terrorism across various regions.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also paid tribute to the sacrifices made by Pakistan's armed forces and police in the fight against terrorism. He criticized the former chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for not taking a stand against terrorists and reiterated the PPP's readiness to confront these challenges. Furthermore, he discussed the economic crisis facing Pakistan and called for collective efforts to address economic hardships, enhance the electoral system, and continue the fight against terrorism.

During the event, PPP Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, provincial ministers, assembly members, and a large number of party workers were present, underscoring the party's unified stance against terrorism and commitment to national issues.
