Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Honors 1983 MRD Martyrs

KARACHI: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has paid tribute to the 11 martyrs of the Movement for the Restoration of Democracy (MRD) who were killed on September 12, 1983, in Khairpur Nathan Shah, district Dadu.

In a press release from the Media Cell Bilawal House, Bhutto Zardari highlighted the significance of the sacrifices made by Shaheed Abdul Ghani Abro, Shaheed Abdul Aziz Lakhair, Shaheed Nizamuddin Naich, and others. These individuals are remembered for their role in opposing tyranny during the MRD Movement, which was led by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

The PPP Chairman emphasized that the efforts and sacrifices of party workers during the MRD were crucial in paving the way for democracy in Pakistan. Bhutto Zardari noted that the legacy of the Khairpur Nathan Shah martyrs serves as a lasting reminder of the importance of safeguarding democracy.
