Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Emphasizes Historical Ties and Future Vision at Mirpur Rally

Mirpur: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressed a large gathering at an election rally in Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting the longstanding relationship between the party and the people of the region. He emphasized the significance of the upcoming election for the future of Kashmir and advocated for a vision of greater rights and prosperity.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Chairman Bilawal underscored the historical ties between the PPP and Mirpur, noting the contributions of previous generations and expressing pride in the new generation of Kashmiris. He recalled his collaboration with political figures like the late Barrister Sultan and Qasim Majeed, who have continued the legacy of their predecessors in working for the cause of Kashmir and Pakistan.

Chairman Bilawal articulated the importance of the election as a pivotal moment in Kashmir's history, urging the people to make choices that would ensure a brighter future and alleviate their hardships. He highlighted the achievements of past PPP leaders, such as the constitutional contributions of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and the socio-economic initiatives of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and President Asif Ali Zardari.

He called for the recognition of Kashmir's distinct identity while advocating for its representation in Pakistan's constitutional institutions. Emphasizing the PPP's commitment to the principles of the right to rule, ownership of resources, and employment opportunities, Chairman Bilawal criticized the policies of other parties, particularly the PML-N, for their perceived failure to address the needs of Kashmiris.

He proposed the establishment of a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to address ongoing crises, advocating for dialogue as a means to resolve disputes. Furthermore, he criticized the handling of internet services and election conditions, suggesting that these issues hinder free and transparent elections.

Chairman Bilawal urged the people of Kashmir to break past political loyalties and support the PPP's candidates, Yasir Sultan, Qasim Majeed, Sohaib Arshad, and Afsar Shahid, for a more prosperous future. He concluded with a call for unity and confidence in the PPP's vision, expressing hope for victory in the upcoming elections.
