LARKANA: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasized the Sindh Government’s commitment to fulfilling promises made to flood-affected families, as he distributed land ownership documents for newly built and under-construction homes. These homes are part of a broader initiative to aid families devastated by the 2022 floods.
The event took place in Village Khair Muhammad Brohi, Union Council Waris Dino, Taluka Ratodero, Larkana, where Bhutto Zardari addressed families impacted by the floods. He highlighted the PPP’s dedication to providing essential services like housing, in line with the late Benazir Bhutto’s vision of ‘Roti, Kapra Aur Makan’ (bread, clothing, and shelter).
Accompanied by PPP Women’s Wing Central President and Sindh Assembly Member Faryal Talpur, Bhutto Zardari praised the government’s efforts to expedite the completion of homes. He stressed the importance of transferring ownership rights to women, ensuring they are formally recognized as homeowners.
He also announced the integration of solar power into these new homes, with plans for improved wash facilities. This initiative, he noted, aligns with the party’s mission to offer sustainable living conditions to all families receiving new houses.
In addition, Bhutto Zardari visited Zangeja village to express condolences to the family of martyred Sindh Police Constable Munir Ahmed Soomro. He offered prayers for the fallen officer and acknowledged his sacrifice.
The event was attended by PPP Sindh chapter President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Political Secretary Jameel Soomro, assembly members, and other party officials.
