Assistive Devices Distributed Across Seven Punjab Districts Under CM Program

Mianwali: In a significant move to bolster inclusion and accessibility for individuals with disabilities, the Chief Minister Punjab’s Assistive Devices & Wheelchair (ADWC) Program has distributed assistive devices and wheelchairs across seven districts. The initiative, which spans Mianwali, Mandi Bahauddin, Kasur, Faisalabad, Hafizabad, Lodhran, and Rahim Yar Khan, underscores a collective commitment to social empowerment.

The distribution events saw participation from district administration, departmental officers, local politicians, philanthropists, and persons with disabilities. This diverse representation highlights a shared dedication towards enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.

The Social Welfare Department, which spearheaded the initiative, emphasizes the importance of accessibility and inclusion. This program aims to provide essential support to those in need, fostering an environment where individuals with disabilities can lead empowered lives.

The ADWC Program is part of a broader effort by the Punjab government to address the needs of persons with disabilities. By providing these essential tools, the program seeks to remove barriers and facilitate greater independence for its beneficiaries.

As the program continues to unfold, it is expected to reach even more districts, furthering the mission of creating a more inclusive society.
