Karachi: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi held a condolence reference to honor the memory of its late senior member, Sultan Khalil. The event took place in the lobby area of the council and commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran. A significant number of attendees from literary, social, and cultural circles, alongside Sultan Khalil's family members, gathered to pay their respects.

According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, President Muhammad Ahmed Shah remarked on Khalil's integral role within the council, highlighting his numerous services and contributions. He praised Khalil's management of the World Urdu Conference book fair and his initiative to establish a street library through the Commissioner of Karachi. Other speakers, including Asjad Bukhari, Ali Hassan Sajid, and Ayub Sheikh, shared their personal memories and admiration for Khalil's character, describing him as hopeful, loving, and a true lover of books.

The event featured heartfelt tributes from various individuals who reflected on Khalil's impact and the loss felt by his passing. Attendees emphasized his dedication, sincerity, and the example he set for others. The ceremony concluded with a Fateha led by Shakeel Khan, with Nauman Khan serving as the moderator.
