Karachi: The Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi hosted a dance celebration at Auditorium I to commemorate International Dance Day, featuring performances by renowned dancers and groups from across the country. According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the celebration commenced with a classical dance performance by Sheema Kermani and Mani Chao, the Director of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Dance Academy. The event featured performances by artists including Farrukh Darbar, Alizeh, Tabita Group, and many others, creating a lively atmosphere. Nighat Chaudhry, a renowned dancer, spoke on the occasion, highlighting dance as a universal art form and discipline. Sheema Kermani traced the history of Dance Day in Pakistan and emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage. The event also featured a noteworthy performance by differently-abled dancer Alizeh Akbar, who received acclaim from the audience.
