Islamabad: The Ambassador of Jordan, Maen Khreasat, visited the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), engaging in discussions aimed at strengthening educational ties. The visit focused on potential academic collaborations, scholarships, and cultural exchanges between IIUI and Jordanian universities.
During his visit to the new IIUI campus, Ambassador Khreasat met with Rector Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed and President Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed. The discussions centered on enhancing bilateral academic cooperation, with specific attention to scholarships, academic exchanges, and the organization of international conferences.
Rector Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed welcomed the ambassador and highlighted the significance of “education diplomacy” as a means to promote global peace and development. He promised full support to fortify academic relations between Pakistan and Jordan.
In a separate meeting, President Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed outlined the university’s vision and strategic goals, reiterating IIUI’s dedication to expanding international educational connections, particularly with institutions in the Muslim world.
Ambassador Khreasat recognized IIUI’s contributions to Muslim societies through education and described the visit as mutually beneficial. He emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and predicted an increase in Jordanian student enrollment at IIUI.
