Rawalpindi: During a significant gathering at Kalma Chowk, Allama Hussain Maqdisi, leader of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh Jafaria, commemorated the eternal lesson of freedom and liberty embodied by Hussain (AS), addressing thousands of mourners at a remembrance event for the martyrs of Karbala.
According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, Allama Hussain Maqdisi articulated that the memory of Hussain (AS) serves as a vital source of inspiration for nations afflicted by colonial oppression. He emphasized that the principles of Hussainism could serve as a remedy for these nations. The event, marked by the recovery of 72 coffins symbolizing the martyrs, drew a large crowd in Rawalpindi Cantt, organized by Anjuman Hussainiya (AS).
Allama Maqdisi also highlighted the relevance of Hussain’s teachings in contemporary struggles for freedom in regions like Kashmir and Palestine, suggesting that these teachings bolster the morale of those resisting oppression. He likened the impact of these teachings to the miraculous healing in the story of Hazrat Yusuf and Hazrat Yaqub (AS), underscoring the profound spiritual and liberating power of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
Further, the leader of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh Jafaria praised the role of scholars and Imams in disseminating the message of Hussainism, noting their efforts in educating and uplifting the community through mourning practices, which he described as a practical teaching of Islam.
The event also served as a platform for other speakers, including Zakir Jaber Abbas Nair and Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah Hamdani, who echoed Maqdisi’s sentiments on the transformative power of Karbala’s legacy. The ceremony saw robust participation from the local community, with special arrangements by the Hussainiya Chahan Association and Haider Karar’s Mourning Organization to maintain the decorum and solemnity of the occasion.
