Al-Khidmat Foundation Hosts Medical Camp at Gilgit University

Gilgit: A medical camp was organized by the Al-Khidmat Foundation Mobile Health Unit at the Karakoram International University Girls Hostel, focusing on the health of female students. The camp provided blood tests and physical check-ups, offering students insights into their health status.

According to Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan, the medical camp examined hundreds of female students, identifying health issues such as anemia and diabetes. A medical team from Jamia Karakoram participated in the event. Dr. Qamar Abbas, Provost of IU, visited the camp and expressed gratitude to the Al-Khidmat Mobile Health Unit. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives for the well-being of female students and committed to supporting similar efforts in the future.

Dr. Abbas highlighted that the camp not only raised health awareness among students but also provided timely treatment. The doctors offered guidance on maintaining a balanced diet, regular exercise, and mental well-being. The initiative was praised for addressing common health problems among women, such as hormonal imbalances and depression. Officials from the Foundation Mobile Health Unit reiterated the value of these camps in enhancing students’ quality of life. The university administration pledged continued support for organizing future camps.
