AD Ports Group CEO Meets with President Zardari to Discuss Maritime Cooperation


Abu Dhabi: Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO of AD Ports Group, met with President Asif Ali Zardari in Abu Dhabi today to discuss the growing cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan in the maritime and logistics sector.



According to Pakistan Peoples Party, President Zardari expressed appreciation for AD Ports Group’s investments and role in Pakistan’s maritime sector, particularly highlighting ongoing projects at Karachi Port. These investments are seen as crucial for enhancing port capacity, efficiency, and regional competitiveness. Both parties agreed that modernising port infrastructure would bolster trade flows and contribute to Pakistan’s economic growth.



The meeting also underscored the significance of AD Ports Group’s new Representative Office in Islamabad and its collaboration on digital and customs initiatives. These efforts are aimed at improving trade efficiency, which aligns with Pakistan’s broader economic objectives.



The meeting was attended by First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari MNA, Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Syed Mohsin Naqvi, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE.
